prime skin

Skincare line.

When founder Jana first approached malone—co in 2021, Prime Skin was simply an idea. She had a vision for a skincare brand she believed in, but needed the strategic and creative foundations to bring it to life.

Together, we built a brand from the ground up, developing a distinctive visual identity, logo, colour palette and packaging that felt considered, timeless and unmistakably theirs. Every decision was made to ensure the brand would stand confidently in one of Australia’s most competitive industries.

What began as the launch of a single skincare product has since grown into a complete range.

Our Approach

When Jana first approached malone—co in 2021, she had a clear vision for Prime Skin. She imagined a bold, uppercase logo paired with a vibrant pink identity. Before putting pen to paper, we took the time to understand the brand, its audience and where Jana wanted the business to grow.

Through our strategy process, it became clear that the strongest direction for Prime Skin was something far more considered. Together, we created a softer, lowercase wordmark and calming blue palette that better reflected the trust, care and credibility the brand wanted to build.

Over the next two years, Jana focused on refining her formulations, growing an audience and learning more about her customers. As the business evolved, she returned to malone—co to subtly refine the brand ahead of launching the full skincare range. Rather than reinventing the identity, we made thoughtful adjustments to the logo and colour palette, ensuring the brand had matured alongside the business.

The Outcome

Today, Prime Skin is a growing skincare brand with an identity that feels timeless, trusted and unmistakably its own. What began as a strategic shift away from the original vision became the foundation for a brand that could confidently expand from a single product into a complete skincare range.

It’s a reminder that strategy isn’t about designing what you imagine your brand to be. It’s about uncovering what your brand truly needs to become.

What the client thought.

“Working with malone—co on the Prime Skin branding was such a pivotal part of building the brand. We came into the process with a very clear idea of what we thought we wanted – pink, uppercase and a more obvious beauty direction – but through deeper strategy, discussion and creative exploration, Jus helped us uncover something so much more unique, elevated and true to the brand.
The final identity feels considered, modern and instantly recognisable, while still leaving room for Prime Skin to grow. What I appreciated most was that the process wasn’t just about making something look beautiful – it was about understanding the brand, the customer and the long-term vision behind it. Two years on, the branding still feels so aligned with where Prime Skin is heading, and I’m so proud of what we created together.
